Friends of adidas got to experience the shoes for themselves for the first time while working out with fitness instructor, Tanya Tolman at KLCC Park, followed by a healthy DIY breakfast session led by Marissa Parry of PurelyB.

What is your favourite part about the adidas UltraBOOST X?
It feels very light and delivers more stability when I run. It doesn’t weigh me down so I feel like I can run longer. Plus, I love how it fits really snugly around my feet like a sock- it’s really unique.

What do you look out for in the perfect pair of shoes?
I like lifting weights so something that delivers less friction and that feels cushiony on my feet as I lift is good.

How would you style your adidas UltraBOOST X for when you’re not working out?
I would style it with a casual dress. Maybe something like a denim dress.

Do you have any mantras when it comes to life and fitness?
Just go for it. We tend to overthink things and all our negative thoughts can end up holding us back. So I say, just go for it!

What’s one message you wish you could share to women about body confidence?
I hope that women out there do not body shame other women but instead aim to help lift each other up, like sisters. There’s so much hate out there. We need to bring in more positivity and love to the world.

If there’s one person- dead or alive- you could have a gym session with, who would it be?
The Rock. He’s like a beast! He’d probably kick my ass and could lift three of me!

What is your favourite part about the adidas UltraBOOST X?
I love the orange and black, it’s the perfect colour combination! I also love the grip of the shoes. It fits nicely around my feet and I can go with or without socks.

As a cyclist and runner, what do you look out for in a good pair of shoes?
I have wide feet, so I often face problems when buying shoes. I have to look for materials that are soft and stretchable so it won’t hurt my feet, especially at the area near my toes. The adidas UltraBOOST X is perfect for that. It’s very stretchable and breathable.

How would you style your adidas UltraBOOST X for when you’re not working out?
My style is pretty casual and comfortable so I’d wear my adidas UltraBOOST X with a t-shirt and a pair of jeans!

Do you have any mantras when it comes to life and fitness?
Just go for it. We tend to overthink things and all our negative thoughts can end up holding us back. So I say, just go for it!

What’s one message you wish you could share to women about body confidence?
To me, fitness is all about motivation and discipline. I never used to enjoy running until I got my first pair of adidas PureBoost X shoes. I never knew running shoes could be so comfortable and it became a motivation for me to run at least once a week. It’s also about discipline. You need to maintain your efforts in order to continually improve.

If there’s one person- dead or alive- you could have a gym session with, who would it be?
Chris Froome! He’s a professional cyclist and the winner of last year’s Tour de France.
